Sojitz Corporation is composed of two of the world’s largest trading companies- Nissho Iwai Corporation and Nichimen Corporation, who merged to continue to adhere to the timeless fundamental corporate philosophies of both companies in April 2004.

About 150 Nissho Iwai and Nichimen offices worldwide became Sojitz.

In the Philippines, Nissho Iwai Corporation- Philippine Branch and Nichimen Philippines Corporation was reborn as Sojitz Philippines Corporation.

With almost 50 years of operations in the Philippines, we are vigorously expanding our global business and adding new capabilities to the traditional role as a trading company. By strengthening our broad-based business development functions, we intend to achieve growth as a sound, global enterprise. Activities extend to every field, including non-ferrous metal products, machinery and information strategies, energy, plastics, chemicals, food, textiles, general commodities, and other financial products.

As we are engaged with the business industry, SPC recognizes its activities affecting the environment, paying close attention to prevention of pollution. This will be realized through measures designed to:

Manage scarce resources such as energy, water, and forest in an environmentally sensitive manner;
Maintain our vehicles in optimal condition to reduce fuel consumption; and
